AP Government is repeating what Telangana Government has done in the past. Yes, NTV is off air in several districts of Andhra Pradesh just alike TV9 and ABN Andhrajyothi in Telangana.Andhra MSOs (Multiple Sustem Operators) have decided to cut NTV off air citing negative stories against the State Government regarding Cash-for-Vote scam.
Earlier, TDP and BJP strongly condemned ban on TV9 and ABN Andhrajyothi in Telangana region. They lambasted Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for ruining the freedom of media and holding a grudge against news channels.With similar scenes repeating in AP, How would the ruling party and its coalition partner defend their move? Can Andhra MSOs remain firm on their stand for at least few months? What kind of message TDP Government wishes to send with its decision?
