Synopsis:
Voice Andhra brings you Jayasudha’s Son Shreayan Kapoor starrer Basthi Movie Review this weekend. Pragathi is seen as love interest for Shreayan in the film. Vasu Manthena alone directed and produced this film. Music composed by Praveen Immadi.
Basthi’s Story:
Story starts of between two rival groups Bikshapathi (Kota Srinivas) and Ammi Raju (Mukesh Rishi). The twist in the film leads to a love affair between Vijay (Shreayan Kapoor) and Sravanthi (Pragathi), Daughter of Bikshapathi.
Meanwhile, Bhavani (Abhimanyu Singh) who comes to know about the duo will try to attack Vijay and Sravanthi. Why did Bhavani tries to kill Vijay and Sravanthi ? Will they succeed in their love is rest of the story.
Cast’s Performance:
Shreayan Kapoor makes a decent debut and the actor should improve his acting skills and expressions in order to grab attention from the audience.
Pragathi is limited to scenes for the love making episode and songs in average note.
Mukhesh Rishi is impressive in his role
Kota managed well with well timed role once again
Abhimanyu Singh‘s role looks terrific and gets good note till the end of the film.
Crew Technicalities:
Basthi’s Vasu Manthena’s direction looks pretty ordinary with predictable screenplay. Production Values looks decent and scores good points in film’s output. Music by Praveen Immadi is Ok. Cinematography looks pretty ordinary.
Analysis:
Basthi film starts on racy narration and then it slowly downs it speed with too boring note. The first half of the film is on two group wars where the film has nothing to do about the particular cause. Meanwhile, Shreayan and Pragathi’s roles are for the refreshing sake to the audience in the form of Love.
The film has no entertainment and the story in the second half goes on predictable note. Interval bang is good and weak story narration results in lack of most of the film.
The scenes showcased on the lead pair looks promising and the film has nothing to do with rest of the characters. Abhimanyu Singh role looks like a major asset.
Final Word:
Basthi – Routine and Boring Film
RATING: 2.5/5
