Venkat Prabhu is one director in Kollywood ho will always turn all the heads on his side with hand full of films with his name,After not great Biryani movie he got Surya for his Masss.Surya was too in debacle result with Anjaan and he was able to match the things positively now.
Positivity : Mass is totally and Venkat Prabhu mark platter where in Surya raised all the way with his performance for sure.The fantasy and horror elements were well managed thoug.Venkat prabhu is always known for through reasonable suspense and surprises to audience and you have tons of them in this movie.First half right from the introduction of characters is so neat and even Love track is commendable.Interval block has much to offer for u.Surya is all the way in his superb performance as always and gets his 100% makrs on the same line.Both his roles as Masss and Sakthi were well dealt by Director.Premgi as Surya’s friend takes all the Humour quotient with him.Dialouges are good and big roar among the youth.
Negativity :: Director would have concentrated well more on the CG work for this movie, Technically Mass is so super but CG work has laid the things down.Second half starting 30 minutes is a big let down where in director was unable to cover it on the gaga modes.Slight confusion in story telling might got a negative impact on the movie but rest is a superb thing to watch for.
Finally , Mass is another perfect and Sincere effor for Venkat prabhu with solid screenplay , But Execution would have much more better.All in all the Surya grabbed the whole show and this movie will bring you Satisafction for the Ticket you bought.Yes a Much needed Hit for Surya is on here.
